Yoga & Lymphatic Activation

As we move deeper into late November, the days grow colder, the rain becomes more frequent, and sunlight becomes scarce. During this seasonal shift, many people notice their bodies feeling heavier, slower, or less energized.

This is completely natural — and it’s also the perfect moment to support one of our most essential health systems: The Lymphatic System.

Physically – Anatomically, it has three main functions:

1. Cleansing & Detoxification

The lymph vessels collect excess fluid, metabolic waste, toxins, and old cells from the tissues. This fluid — called lymph — is carried to the lymph nodes, where it gets filtered and cleaned.

2.Immune Protection

Inside the lymph nodes, we have specialized immune cells.
They detect viruses, bacteria, and inflammation and immediately begin producing defense cells.
This is why lymph nodes sometimes swell — they are working to protect you.

3. Fluid Balance & Energy Flow

It helps balance the body between tension, fluid, and lightness.
When the lymph flows well, we feel clearer, less swollen, more energized, and more grounded.

This is why Yoga is such a powerful support.
Every twist, every deep breath, every flowing movement, and every grounding pose helps your lymph move and supports your body’s natural cleansing.

These practices help reduce swelling, boost immunity all wonderful tools during the colder season.

Let’s move together Tuesday & Thursday at10 am and use movement as medicine.
I’m looking forward to sharing this nourishing practice with you.
Warm hugs,
Andrea Stern
