Join us for International Yoga Day

Hello,

This Saturday at 9:00 AM, I warmly invite you to join me for a spontaneous outdoor yoga session at the beautiful Parque Dom Carlos I in Caldas da Rainha. We’ll meet near the café behind the pavilion, then settle into a calm, green space to flow and reconnect.

🧘‍♀️ Please bring a mat or a towel, wear something comfortable, and come as you are — open-hearted and ready to move, breathe, and simply be.

Why this Saturday?

Because it’s International Yoga Day! 🌍
This special day, celebrated every year on June 21, was established by the United Nations in 2014 to honor yoga’s global impact on physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The idea was first proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and it quickly gained support from 177 countries — a true reflection of yoga’s universal appeal.

And even more…

June 21 is also the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere — the longest day of the year, a time of light, energy, and renewal. In many cultures, this day symbolizes the height of life force, growth, and abundance. In the yogic tradition, the solstice marks a shift in the sun’s path and is seen as an ideal time to align with nature’s rhythm and deepen inner awareness.

Let’s celebrate together!

Let’s gather in nature, move with intention, and celebrate both yoga and the light within and around us. Whether you’re a long-time practitioner or just curious to try, you are most welcome.

Bring your friends, your good energy, and let’s create a peaceful start to the weekend — together. ✨With warmth and light,
Andrea Stern
