Embrace Change & Let Nature Guide You

As October comes to an end, nature offers us a beautiful reminder: change is not something to resist, but something to move through.

Look at the trees. Before they drop their leaves, they take back important nutrients and store them in their branches, trunks, and roots. As the green colour fades, beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red appear. The tree is preparing for winter and saving energy for new growth in spring.

Perhaps we can do the same.

We often carry so much with us — expectations, responsibilities, old worries, and the feeling that we should always be doing more. But we don’t have to carry everything forward.

This week, let your yoga practice be an invitation to pause and reflect:

  • What am I ready to leave behind as October comes to an end?
  • How can I take care of myself this winter?
  • What small rituals can help me feel good during the colder months?

Think about the little things that make you feel good: a walk in nature, a warm cup of tea, time with loved ones, a good night’s sleep, or a few quiet moments alone.

You don’t have to bloom all year round. Like the trees, allow yourself to slow down, turn inward, and save your energy for the months ahead. New growth will come when the time is right.

Simply breathe and listen to your body.

Remember: letting go doesn’t make you weaker. It creates space for what truly matters and gives you the strength to grow.
